Focus groups remain a powerful an efficient way of conduct qualitative research.  When working with focus group footage, we like to include some reaction shots based on what a participant is saying. We find that this brings some extra “sizzle” to the edit. This example highlights this style of editing. Note, we always recommend hiring a professional videographer to film focus groups when you know that footage will be used for an edit as the wide angle standard facility setup is a bit dull (and the sound a bit iffy).
